%0 Conference Proceedings %9 Combustão e Propulsão %B Workshop em Engenharia e Tecnologia Espaciais, 9 (WETE) %X Understanding the development of hydrodynamic instability between two different species in a free shear layer is of utmost importance in aerospace propulsion for the development of more effective combustors. The differences between physical properties of each species, strongly influences the characteristic of flow, affecting the growth rate of the disturbances and the flow topology. The present study considers the temporal stability of mixing layers using direct numeric simulation and compares results with results from linear stability theory. Preliminary results show a verification test case and the differences between homogeneous and binary mixing layers. The final paper will also present the effects of compressibility, Reynolds number and body forces due to strong density variations between the two species. %@mirrorrepository urlib.net/www/2011/03.29.20.55 %E Santos, Walter Abrahão dos, %E Rodrigues, Italo Pinto, %E Lima, Jeanne Samara dos Santos, %E Rodrigues, Aline Castilho, %E Mateus, Dairo Antonio Cuellar, %E Moreira, Herbi Júnior Pereira, %E Barbosa, ivan Márcio, %E Tenório, Plínio Ivo Gama, %E Toledo, Rafael Cardoso, %E Pereira, Yuri Matheus Dias, %T Homogeneous and binary mixing layer stability %@electronicmailaddress yanpedroni@gmail.com %@electronicmailaddress fernando.fachini@inpe.br %@format On-line. %K Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, binary compressible mixing layer, Direct Numeric Simulation. %@nexthigherunit 8JMKD3MGP3W34P/3SAHFJP %@nexthigherunit 8JMKD3MGPCW/3F35D8B %@secondarytype PRE CN %8 15-16 ago. 2018 %@usergroup simone %@group PCP-ETES-SESPG-INPE-MCTIC-GOV-BR %3 21 - [Artigo] Yan da Silva Pedroni.pdf %J São José dos Campos %@issn 2177-3114 %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m16d/2018/10.11.17.29.35 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %I Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m16d/2018/10.11.17.29 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2018 %1 Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %S Anais %A Pedroni, Yan S., %A Fachini Filho, Fernando, %A Mendonça, M.
