Referring to the land use classifications, overall accuracies above 87 percent and Kappa indexes above 0 71 were obtained This study has explored the main functionalities of the InterIMAGE system, presenting as potential for object-based and knowledge-based image classification. %@mirrorrepository sid.inpe.br/mtc-m19@80/2009/08.21.17.02.53 %8 June %N 1 %T Urban land cover and land use classification of an informal settlement area using the open-source knowledge-based system InterIMAGE %@secondarytype PRE PI %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup marciana %@group %@group DSR-OBT-INPE-MCT-BR %3 98-311-1-PB-1.pdf %@secondarykey INPE--PRE/ %@issn 1449-8596 %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m19/2011/01.12.11.53.58 %@affiliation %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %B Journal of Spatial Science %P 23 -41 %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m19/2011/01.12.11.53 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2010 %V 55 %@doi 10.1080/14498596.2010.487640 %A Novack, T, %A Kux, H.
